South African born Mark Kilian has had a successful and eclectic film scoring career since moving to Los Angeles in 1994. He is most known for his ethnic flavored scores like the Oscar winning Tsotsi, Traitor, Rendtion, Bless Me Ultima, and Before The Rains. Some of his other scores include Official Secrets, Eye In The Sky, Revenge Of The Green Dragons (executive produced by Martin Scorsese,) John Carpenter’s The Ward, and Pitch Perfect for which he has a platinum album for soundtrack sales.

His television work includes HBO's Wahl Street and 41, ABC’s Killer Women and Daybreak, and President In Waiting for CNN. Mark Kilian has also written music for many TV commercials including Apple, Toyota, Budweiser, American Express and Microsoft.

Mark has released 9 original music albums under 'Mark Kilian' and 'The Gravy Street' covering a variety of genres. ‘Mark Kilian’s Channel’ on You Tube has over 50 episodes featuring artists and instruments from every corner of the globe talking about their art and the history of their instruments and music. Mark originally came from a jazz world and worked as a pianist playing with the likes of Darius Brubeck, Shirley Bassey, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Airto Moreira.
